Software Sampler Program 2010

September 23th, 6pm, September 24th, 10am:
Bias bound, bias covered, zippered and serged - are all
seam techniques that make a project look great on the
inside, but what about bringing it to the front:
Never have an ordinary seam again on your projects as
you incorporate the seam into a decorative detail for
all to see - on the front!
October 28th, 6pm, October
29th, 10am:
Earn your stripes with these pieced projected with a
striped effect. Easily created from jelly rolls or
rotary cut strips we will create some fantastic looks
for quilting and easy styled clothing. Decorate
the strips with endless embroidery or stitch recipes.
November 18th, 6pm, November 19th,
10am:
Set a pretty table for the Holidays. Utilizing a
variety of applique styles - raw edge, fused,
decoratively stitched or embroidered - create table
settings plain or fancy for all your entertaining for
the rest of the year.

All About Me! (Machine Embroidery)
All About ME! is an in-store, virtual
education event that combines a 30-45 minutes embroidery
presentation by a knowledgeable educator, followed by a
hands-on program. Each virtual
program will target all embroidery machines owners
regardless of brand. You will
leave with all kinds of ideas and a CD for only $5 for
everything.
SESSION DATES
Each session will be offered on Friday's at 10am.
September 9th
- In the Right Place
Embroidering ready-made garments can be fun, but
sometimes challenging. Learn tips on embroidering
ready-to-wear, including how and when to open seams,
ideal products to use, coordinating designs, and
appropriate stabilizers to use. Also discussed are
embroidering areas such as collars and cuffs that can't
be hooped in the traditional way. Learn to get a
design in the right place - the first time!
October 8th - Christmas Creations
Get started on your road to embroidering some quick and
easy gifts for Christmas. Use your machine to its
fullest as you embroider custom gifts for those on your
Christmas list.
November 5th -
Knits and Velvets and Corduroys Oh My!
This class features embroidery products needed for
flawless embroidery on fabrics generally considered
"difficult." Learn tips and tricks for dealing
with difficult fabrics, choosing appropriate designs,
and designing a well-planned garment or other project.
December 3rd -
From Oops to Hooray!
Ever have one of those embroidery "oops" moments?
Explore the symptoms, diagnosis, and remedies for what
might at first appear to be a disastrous mistake in
embroidery! The class will cover ways to
creatively cover and hide holes, spots, and strains in
otherwise perfectly good garments. It will also
cover prevention methods to keep those mistakes from
happening in the first place.

Software Sampler Program - 2010
We would like you to
join the Software Sampler Program - 2010 on Mondays
at 1:30pm.
Each session will
incorporate a software/embroidery presentation by a
BERNINA Educator. Following the presentation, a staff
member will answer questions.
For only $5, you will receive a CD with the presentation
video and handouts to complete the project.
Session Dates
September 20th - Sleeved Shawl
Learn how to make and decorate this simple shawl-style
jacket.

October 25th - Glasses Case
This collage glasses case will be made in the
hoop and decorated using the embroidery software with
freemotion
couching stitches and applique.
November 22nd - Bottle Wrap
Create your own decorative bottle wrap. (Great
hostess gift!) Use the Pattern Run feature of the
software to create beautiful decorative edge. Cut
in place - or use the cutwork tool to create multiple
projects! Embellish with OESD Sayings or monogram.
December 13th -
Open as of now.

Mary
Lou Nall, a Pensacola, Florida native, has been working
with Bernina for almost 40 years. She specializes
in Bernina accessories
and how the
proper use of the accessories can save time and give
professional results.
Mary Lou has worked with Bernina Dealers all over
the United States,
including Hawaii. She is a popular
teacher at Bernina University and The Martha Pullen School of
Sewing in
Huntsville, Alabama.
Her classes were an absolute treat. Sorry you
missed her this time.
SAMANTHA CAFFEE will offer us a TRUNK SHOW April
4th through 17th from her company
THE HANDMADE
DRESS. Patterns for her designs and samples are
already in the store.
